Weekly Review of Happenings - Learn, Love and Laugh

ree

Our Weekly award winners including a bearded man top left! Mr Hardie sneaked into being nominated by his class!

With a general election being announced this week and a theme of change used as a political manifesto, it was decided to have our weekly assembly theme of how we can deal with change in our lives and what school can do help.

We watched a news item about an MP return to parliament after having sepsis and having bionic arms and legs fitted. He still had the ability to make people laugh even though a horrible thing had happened to him that changed his life.

We watched and learned about a how a hermit crab deals with change.

Finally we just decided to dance at assembly and had a reminder that if we Learn, Love and Laugh/dance it helps us all!

There has been a lot of change in Mrs Parke's life. Baby Thomas visited school and Mrs Parke's class last week. There was a story that Eden in P4 used to speak to the unborn child before Mrs Parke went off on maternity leave. It was incredible when Eden spoke to Thomas when he was in last week, Thomas' head turned towards Eden!

Well this week coming is Health and Sports week as you'll have worked out from previous posts. Let's hope the weather holds out. We are flexible over school uniform this week as it'll be active. Feel free to wear sporting gear.

And finally, this is our highlights of Saturday's Inter-Schools Sports at Queen's Athletics track. Sit back and enjoy (It's 6 minutes long!) our athletes. A good way to start our week,

Enjoy your week!
