Smithton's 50th Birthday Bash

Hi all, You will have seen various posts on our Parent Council Facebook page over the last week or so, but we thought we would pop them on to a blog post too as we have made a few requests.

Firstly, please save the date (Friday 20th June), further detail will follow.

• Raffle Prizes:

  We are looking to collect as many raffle prizes as we can so that we can run a raffle that night. If you wish to donate anything or if you have connections to local businesses who would be willing to donate, please pop things into reception at the school or contact us if they need to be collected.

• Photos

  If you have any photos or newspaper cuttings related to the school please get in touch and share them with us. We hope to put together a video display to share on the night, showcasing Smithton Primary over the last 50 years.

• Smithton Primary School Mascot

  To help us mark the event we would like you and your family to design a new school mascot! Our mascot should be based around our school values: kind, caring, friendly, respectful and honest. It should be animal themed. It can be hand drawn, or made on the computer. Entries should be on A4 and submitted by tomorrow to your class teacher or emailed to the school.

• Music

  We are looking for music for the celebration too. Perhaps 2/3 musicians who could play ceilidh music together. Likely to be for two 45 minute sets between 6 and 8pm. Please get in touch if you have any ideas.
