Seasons For Growth

Here at Smithton Primary, we understand the impact of change, loss or bereavement has on a family. Therefore, we would like to offer support for those who feel they would benefit from the Parents programme- Seasons for Growth. Seasons for Growth offers two programmes; one is about supporting your child following the death of someone they love; and the other programme is about supporting your child following separation or divorce.

Who is the Seasons Parent Programme for?

  • Any Parent/Carer looking to support their children through family change and loss.

What does it do?

  • Supports Parents/Carers to better understand the experience of bereavement, separation, or divorce from the child’s perspective.

  • To explore ideas and strategies that you can use to support your children through family changes.

Both Lauren and Megan are trained to deliver the two programmes and would love to offer this during the summer holidays (please see dates below). As we understand the importance of this programme is childcare will also be provided for parents to attend if needed.

Group Sessions will be delivered-

  • Bereavement- Monday (29th) July, 10:00- 12:30.

  • Separation and Divorce- Tuesday (30th) July, 10:00- 15.00, (as this is a longer session we will therefore have a lunch break in the middle).

If you would like to attend one of the programmes or would like more information regarding the programme, please contact Lauren on Lauren.Ferguson@highland.gov.uk or 07584383150.
